Majordan in 1:49.2!

Majordan in 1:49.2!

Victoria Cup bound Majordan, who was bred, raised and sold by Benstud Standardbreds, posted his second sub 1:50 success when he took out the Group 3 $30,000 Paul Fitzpatrick Free-for-all in 1:49.2 at Menangle on Saturday night (October 6).

The time was only 0.3 outside his lifetime mark.

Starting from the No 9 gate, the gelding began brilliantly to lead from virtually the outset.

Carving out fractions of 26, 28.1, 27.2 and 27.9, Majordan was untroubled to win by five metres.

The six-year-old has won 20 races and $232,028 in stakes.

Out of star matron Benelise, Majordan is owned by Marc Hanover and Gordon Banks, trained by Kevin Pizzuto and driven by Chris Geary.
